(Viborg, SD) — Fire danger continues to be a real threat in much of South Dakota. It proved true this weekend as a grass fire broke out just west of Viborg Saturday afternoon. The blaze caused six different fire departments to respond to the area about 11 miles outside of the city. Those crews extinguished the flames and remained on the scene to watch for any hot spots. It’s still unclear how many acres were burned but is being ruled under control at this time.
