(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Great Plains Zoo is warning the public of a scam targeting zoo-goers nationwide. Scammers have been creating social media ads advertising ticket packages with a deal that’s too good to be true, promising four for six dollars and 95 cents. Identical ads have shown up around the U.S. for other zoos, including the Minnesota Zoo, San Francisco Zoo and Virginia Zoo, among several others. The zoo is urging the public to report the ads to the social media platform they find the ads on and not give any personal or financial information to them.
