(Pierre, SD) — As an extreme heat wave grips much of the world, South Dakota is also going to feel the effects. Heat Advisories will go into effect this afternoon and last into the evening across the state. Temperatures in some areas may even surpass a hundred degrees. Folks are being reminded to stay hydrated and stay cool throughout the day. But, the latest summer weather without any rain for the time being is helping dry up the state after all of the recent storms and flooding.
