(Sioux Falls, SD) — Initiated Measure 28 has been rejected by South Dakota voters. The measure would have eliminated the state’s sales tax on items for consumption, including groceries. South Dakota is one of only two states that tax groceries at the full rate. Around 70-percent of voters rejected the measure.
