Jensen Gets 2nd Term As SD Supreme Court Chief Justice

(Pierre, SD) — Some continuity for South Dakota’s Supreme Court. Chief Justice Steven Jensen has been selected by his fellow Justices to serve another term as the leader of the state’s highest court. It will be his second four-year term. Jensen was appointed to the South Dakota Supreme Court in 2017 and was selected for his first term as Chief Justice in 2021. In a statement, the 61-year-old said he’s “deeply honored” and looks for forward to “continuing this important work as we strive to uphold the rule of law and strengthen public trust in our judiciary.”
