(Sioux Falls, SD) — June is going to go down as a record month for rainfall in much of South Dakota. In the last week, several inches of rain have come down in many areas that’s led to flooding the state hasn’t seen in a long time. Mitchell has set a new record for rainfall this month with a week to go counting over ten inches. Sioux Falls is under three inches away from breaking its June rainfall record set in 2014. A few cities tallied a new mark for single-day rain at the end of last week after several storms.
