Leader of Myron Lee & the Caddies Dead at 82

(Sioux Falls, SD) — The leader of the Rock & Roll band Myron Lee and the Caddies has passed away. KELO reports Myron Wachendorf died just days before his 83rd birthday. Known as South Dakota’s “King of Rock and Roll,” Wachendorf and his band performed with some of the biggest hit-makers of the 1950s and 60s. Myron Lee & the Caddies often played with Bobby Vee, Roy Orbison and Ronnie Spector of Ronnie and the Ronettes. Myron Lee & the Caddies’ biggest hit was “Peter Rabbit” in 1962.
