Lower Brule Sioux Tribe Bans Gov. Noem From Reservation

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A seventh South Dakota Native American reservation has decided to ban Governor Noem. The Lower Brule Sioux Tribe released a statement yesterday that said the council voted unanimously to banish Noem until further notice. Tribal Chairman Clyde Estes said the council is calling on the Governor to issue a formal apology for the statements she made about Tribal leaders benefiting from cartels. Noem responded on social media saying “Banning me does nothing but distract from the crime, drug trafficking and sex trafficking. Banish the cartels.” This comes after Noem’s recent banishment from the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe.
