Man Convicted In Sioux Falls Carjacking Sentenced

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man is headed to prison for more than a decade after being convicted in a 2022 carjacking. Twenty-six-year-old Jose Uribe pulled a shotgun on a driver who was giving him and two other women a ride back in May of last year. He stole the vehicle and led police on a chase before he was arrested. Uribe pleaded guilty to carjacking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon back in September and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
