Man Threatens To Shoot Judge, Remains In Jail

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man remains in jail after he allegedly threatened to shoot a judge. Sixty-two-year-old Gregory Roberts appeared in court on Thursday afternoon. He allegedly threatened to shoot the judge and went on to say he would commit “mass murder” like we have never seen. According to the prosecutor, Roberts has a meth problem and has been going through veterans court. The man was booked into jail again on Wednesday. A public defender asked that Roberts be released on a PR bond, saying he has family in the area and needs to go to physical therapy. But the judge said “words matter” and set his bond at 10-thousand-dollars cash only.
