(North Sioux City, SD) — Southeastern South Dakota is dealing with severe damage from recent flooding. The high water has destroyed a number of homes around McCook Lake by North Sioux City. Several of them have been swept off their foundations, forcing people to evacuate. To make matters worse, some homeowners are saying the flooding happened so fast that there was no time to react. The state has activated the Incident Management Assistance Team in that area of Union County.
