(Sioux Falls, SD) — Midwest Honor Flights volunteers are training for a mission to Washington, D.C. The organization’s goal is to fly as many veterans from South Dakota, Northwest Iowa, Northeast Nebraska, and Southwest Minnesota to D.C. at no costs to them. Midwest Honor Flight has touched down in the county’s capital 13 times since 2017, with more than 11-hundred Veterans visiting their respective memorials. Midwest Honor Flight President & CEO Aaron Van Beek says volunteers like ones from South Dakota are vital to their mission. The organization has planned two trips this month to D.C.
