Miss South Dakota Campaign To Help Kids Read

(Rapid City, SD) — Children across the state are getting extra help to learn how to read. It’s thanks to Miss South Dakota and her Leadership Through Literacy campaign. Miss South Dakota 2023 Miranda O’Bryan met with Black Hills Leadership Development in Rapid City yesterday. The nonprofit is helping Miranda share her message that teaching kids how to read is giving them building blocks to become a future leader. Miss South Dakota’s Leadership Through Literacy campaign has donated over ten-thousand books across South Dakota in the past year and currently has six little free libraries with even more under construction.
