(Meade County, SD) — A missing Meade County 13-year-old has been located and the suspect believed to have abducted her and take her across state lines is under arrest.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office says the girl had been reported missing early Sunday morning. Police in Wyoming arrested 22-year-old Sean Carlos Payne of Omaha, Nebraska. Authorities say Payne is a registered sex offender and is wanted in Nebraska on multiple charges, including third-degree terroristic threat. The suspect remains in custody in Wyoming. Meade County Sheriff Pat West said after the arrest “Saving a young child from a wanted predator is a win for us today.”
