(Mitchell, SD) — The Mitchell Police Department is saying goodbye to its longtime police chief. Michael Koster is retiring after 24 years with the department. The city says his last day is likely today. Koster took on many roles over his career, including a patrol officer, field training officer, department trainer, sergeant and assistant chief.
