(Vermillion, SD) — Mount Marty University and Avera Health are working to bring easier access to health care specialists in rural areas. It’s part of a program that’s been formed in response to the growing number of folks with diabetes. The certificate program is a one-year, online, 10-credit course which will bring nurse practitioners to Avera Health in South Dakota from across the U.S. Recruitment has already begun, and the plan is to have students learning at Avera Health by the start of the new year.
