Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Killed In Line Of Duty

(Colman, SD) — A Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff is being remembered after losing his life in the line of duty. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says 51-year-old Ken Prorok of Wentworth was killed Friday in a high-speed pursuit. It happened on Highway 34 near the I-29/Colman exit. Chief Deputy Sheriff Prorok was sworn in as a law enforcement officer in 2016. The man involved in the pursuit has been arrested and is expected to have charges filed against him in a hearing today at the Lake County Courthouse in Madison
