More Charges In SF Crash Spree

(Sioux Falls, SD) — There’s an update in the case of a ‘crash spree’ that took place in Sioux Falls earlier this month. It involved multiple cars, businesses and a sign back on the morning of November 14th. Sioux Falls woman 33-year-old Ashlyann Saathoff is now facing more charges because of new surveillance video. Authorities believe some of the crashes were intentional. A prosecutor says Saathoff can be seen driving around a parking lot before accelerating into a business’ front doors. Video also shows her crashing directly into a county cruiser, then getting out of her car and celebrating or dancing. Police eventually arrested Saathoff near Falls Park where she allegedly crashed into a bridge which would be another charge if deemed intentional. Investigators are still waiting on blood work to see if drugs were in her system at the time.
