Nebraska Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Collision

(Beresford, SD) — A Nebraska woman is dead following a collision west of Beresford.

South Dakota Highway Patrol said in a press release the crash happened Saturday morning at the intersection of State Highways 19 and 46. According to the release, the woman was driving a Ford Explorer southbound on State Highway 19-A and stopped to turn left onto 46. The driver of a Ford F-150 going northbound on 19 failed to stop at the intersection and collided with the Explorer, according to Highway Patrol.

Both vehicles went into a ditch. Highway Patrol says the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the F-150 driver’s injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening. No word if charges will be filed as the crash remains under investigation.
