(Pierre, SD) — Registration fees are about to nearly double for 78 marijuana dispensaries in the state. A new law is raising the annual cost from 53-hundred dollars to nine-thousand. And it starts July 1st. This also affects 40 cultivators, 21 manufacturers and three testing facilities, including South Dakota’s public health laboratory. Voters legalized medical marijuana in 2020 and will decide again in November whether to make it okay for recreational use.
