(Sioux Falls, SD) — There’s now a new option for what might be done with the Delbridge Museum taxidermy collection. The displays at the Great Plains Zoo were shut down last summer due to chemical concerns discovered in the animals. Officials in Sioux Falls have been trying to figure out what the next best step is because there isn’t really a viable option for the collection in South Dakota. But now, Governor Noem has signed a bill that allows a county or municipality to gift a taxidermy collection to a non-profit out-of-state. However, it’s only just a consideration to look nationwide as the final decision will be up to the city council.
