Noem Banned From South Dakota Reservation

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Another South Dakota reservation has banned Governor Kristi Noem. On Tuesday, the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Council voted to ban Noem from its reservation. This follows her banishment from the Pine Ridge Reservation in February.

Tribal Chairman Ryman LeBeau said the governor isn’t welcome because she made “negative derogatory statements” about the community. In an interview on March 28th, Noem said she still stands by her statement of believing the tribal council members are benefiting from the presence of the cartel.

A spokesperson for the governor told KELOLAND News, that “banishing Governor Noem does nothing to solve the problem. She calls on all our tribal leaders to banish the cartels from tribal lands.”
