(Sioux Falls, SD) — The nonprofit Furniture Mission based in Sioux Falls is extending a helping hand to flood victims in South Dakota and beyond. Parts of South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota have faced significant damage in the region with several families losing everything. Furniture Mission is collecting furniture and household items to help people start over. It’s the first time the nonprofit has reached out across state lines. For folks willing to donate to the cause, organizers say a Furniture Mission truck can pick up what you don’t need and deliver items to those who do during this time.
