(Nora, SD) — The owner of the Nora Store is sharing how his week is going being in the national spotlight on CBS Mornings. Mike Pedersen and his small-town Christmas store were featured by CBS’s David Begnaud on Monday. Pedersen says countless phone calls have poured in, many people asking where to find the Nora Store along with well-wishers who saw the story. He also had several unexpected visitors yesterday. Begnaud says it’s his favorite Christmas story he’s done during his 25 years of journalism, comparing it to the likes of a warm hug and comfort food for the soul. Pedersen started the tradition in 1989, welcoming folks to come and sing Christmas carols alongside him playing Nora’s iconic organ. The Nora Store will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the rest of the month.
