(Rapid City, SD) — South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision on Interstate 90 just north of Rapid City that left one person dead and another seriously injured. According to the Department of Public Safety, a vehicle was going the wrong direction on I-90 West and collided with a westbound pickup truck that was in the same lane. The driver of the vehicle going the wrong direction died at the scene and the driver of the pickup is reported to have serious, life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not release the identities of either driver, other than the deceased was 44-years-old and the injured driver is 56.
