(Sioux Falls, SD) — Walkers in Sioux Falls are raising awareness for suicide prevention. The “Out of the Darkness” walk was held on Sunday in downtown Sioux Falls. The event is administered by the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention and is held in communities across the country. Organizers say they were expecting 500 participants on Sunday, but they estimate at least 750-to-800 people were there. September is National Suicide Prevention Month.
