(Philip, SD) — There’s an update on a fire in Philip that broke out yesterday morning. According to the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, a grain fire went up in a blaze. It has since been contained by Philip Volunteer Firefighters. A resident nearby captured the towering flames on video and said it started around 4 a.m. Officials say no one was hurt, and there’s no risk to the public. The Haakon County Sheriff’s Office announced Highway 73 was closed yesterday but has now been reopened.
