(Pierre, SD) — A Pierre man is pleading not guilty to the stabbing death of a 17-year-old Rapid City girl. David Shangreaux Junior is charged with murder and aggravated assault. Prosecutors say he stabbed and assaulted Evie Maxey last November. He’s being held at the Hughes County Jail on a 300-thousand-dollar bond. Prosecutors do not plan on seeking the death penalty in the case.
