(Lennox, SD) — The South Dakota Department of Corrections will be partnering with Lennox on a wastewater connection for the new men’s prison. Lennox City Council unanimously approved an agreement to provide the service for the planned facility in Lincoln County. Council members said at this week’s meeting that it was a “solid business decision.” The state is going to give ten-million dollars in upfront cash that Lennox can use to pay off debt from improvement projects. The city will also collect about 50-thousand dollars a month in user fees when the prison is connected.
