Protestors Call South Dakota Delegation To Action Over Debt Ceiling

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Protesters are calling on South Dakota’s congressional delegation to pass a debt ceiling increase before a default. The advocacy group Common Grounds Indivisible SD gathered outside the Sioux Falls offices of Republican Representative Dusty Johnson and Republican Senator Mike Rounds on Tuesday. They called for South Dakota’s delegation to Washington, including Republican Senator John Thune, to put more pressure on congressional leaders to pass a measure raising the debt ceiling before June 1st.
