Rapid City Area Schools Gets $3.4 Million Dollar Grant

(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City Area Schools has been awarded a three-point-four-million dollar grant to help with the schools mental health services. The grant, which will extend through a five-year period, will allow the schools to hire counselors, social workers, and behavioral analysts. The objective is to hire culturally and trained mental health professionals to better serve their student population. The district hopes to increase mental health services by 25-percent.
