(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City woman will spend the next 25 years in federal prison on charges related to distributing fentanyl and heroin. The South Dakota District U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release over the weekend that 30-year-old Kaylonie Goff was convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Goff, who was first indicted in 2023 and pleaded guilty this past August, was sentenced last Monday in a Rapid City courtroom. The news release said one of the pills Goff sold caused someone to die of an overdose. She’s being ordered to pay just over five-thousand-dollars in restitution to the family of the overdose victim. Goff will be required to serve five years of supervised release after she completes her prison term.
