(Pierre, SD) — A southern border resolution from Democrats is not going to happen. It was killed by Republicans in the South Dakota Senate yesterday. Democrats wanted South Dakota’s Republican delegation in Congress to work with President Joe Biden on a bipartisan fix for the increase in migrants coming across the U.S.-Mexico border. Instead, the direction is going to be HCR 60-10, which was passed overwhelmingly moments after Governor Noem’s special border session on Wednesday. The resolution acknowledges the need to protect U.S. borders.
