(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sanford Health is proposing to merge with a Wisconsin-based health system. It’s called Marshfield Clinic Health System which, much like Sanford, has many clinics in rural areas. Officials with the two nonprofit health systems say combining resources will benefit patients and expand research capabilities. this comes exactly one year after Sanford ended talks with Minnesota-based Fairview Health System.
