SD Joins Multi-State Effort to Overturn Ban on Firearm Magazines

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has joined two dozen other states in opposing a law in California that bans firearm magazines that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition. Meanwhile, 19 other states support the ban, an example of how states are divided on the issue. Jackley calls the ban an intrusion on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. The case is currently before the Ninth U.S. Circuit of Appeals.
