SD Lawmaker Wants Inquiry Into Gov. Noem’s Dental Video

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Senate Minority Leader Reynold Nesiba is officially calling for an inquiry into Governor Noem’s recent testimonial video for a Texas dentist. Concerns are being raised over the Governor’s actions in how she went about getting her procedure done and what it means leading an advertisement being in a position of power. Nesiba says he wants to know if any public funds or the state’s new airplane were used to travel to Texas, among any kind of payment she received and the legality of it. The Government Operations and Audit Committee would take over the inquiry review. Travelers United, a consumer watchdog group, also filed a civil lawsuit arguing the video is misleading and deceptive.
