(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City man is taking responsibility for plans to distribute deadly amounts of fentanyl on a massive scale in South Dakota. Thirty-seven-year-old Cory Croyle is going to plead guilty to a federal drug charge after intent to sell the drugs primarily in the Rapid City area. According to court documents, he obtained large quantities, sometimes from Colorado, and then brought it back to South Dakota. There isn’t a specific amount shared by officials, but Croyle and at least one other person allegedly distributed somewhere from just under a pound to two-and-a-half pounds of fentanyl. Croyle faces anywhere from ten years behind bars to life in prison when sentenced under his plea deal.
