(Pierre, SD) — Eighty-four National Guard troops are back in South Dakota after spending nine months in the Persian Gulf. Governor Noem and other state leaders welcomed home the members of the 109th regional support group over the weekend. The unit was on active-duty service in Kuwait and Iraq. They supported base camp operations there as part of Operation Inherent Resolve.
