(Pierre, SD) — Thirty South Dakota county auditors are wrapping up post-election audits from the 2024 General Election. Secretary of State Monae Johnson released the results yesterday. The news release says the audits revealed minor discrepancies in 14 counties, including Minnehaha and Lincoln. These discrepancies were primarily due to manual counting methods where audit boards focused on determining voter intent rather than strictly adhering to oval marks on the ballot.
