SD Senators Weigh In On Biden SOTU Address

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s senators are sharing their thoughts on President Biden’s State of the Union address. Senator Mike Rounds told Dakota News Now, “Most of us were ready for the speech to be over with.” He noted President Biden did talk about issues at the border, but most Republicans disagreed with the assessment that the president had. Senator John Thune released a statement in response, saying, “No amount of words from the president tonight could have erased the actions he’s taken to undermine America’s economic security, energy security, and national security.” But he added one thing he can agree on with President Biden is being “fortunate to live in the greatest country in the world.”
