SD Survivors Of Suicide Loss Release Butterflies

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota survivors of suicide loss are remembering their loved ones in a special way. The Butterfly House and Aquarium hosted a group Saturday to release butterflies for those they have lost. One woman says the South Dakota Helpline Center helped save her life after her husband’s passing in 2015 and has attended the butterfly release every year. Governor Noem recently issued an executive proclamation designating November 18th as “Survivors of Suicide Loss Day.”
