SD Testing Ballot Machines For Primary

(Rapid City, SD) — Voting equipment is being tested for South Dakota’s primary. The election is Tuesday and Pennington County is preparing for the rush. The auditor’s office wants to ensure the tabulating machines are running smoothly. Workers have been feeding them ballots several hours at a time to confirm everything is correct. This could be the last primary of its kind in the state as voters will consider whether to switch to an open election in November.
