SDDOT Extends Help To Nebraska For Winter Storm Clean-Up

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Department of Transportation has been extending a helping hand to its southern neighbors for winter storm clean-up. Crews from Pierre and Rapid City have gone to Nebraska to assist in plowing roads and reopening highways this month. It’s part of an emergency declaration that allowed Nebraska to seek help from South Dakota through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact. Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen thanked South Dakota for the assist and helping ensure public safety.
