SDSU Football Hires Dan Jackson

(Brookings, SD) — South Dakota State football is welcoming a new head coach. SDSU officially announced Tuesday night that 39-year-old Dan Jackson will be the 22nd head coach in the program’s history. He’s succeeding Jimmy Rogers, who left last weekend to take over at Washington State. Jackson has deep ties to SDSU, playing there from 2002 through ’05 and being an assistant coach under John Stiegelmeier from 2012 through ’19. Jackson is supposed to be formally announced sometime next week.
