SDSU Secures Dominant Win Over Western Oregon In Season Opener

(Brookings, SD) — The South Dakota State Jackrabbits are continuing the celebration of last year’s FCS title with a dominant 45-7 win over Western Oregon. Over 16-thousand fans were in attendance for a sold-out crowd. John Stiegelmeier, the man who coached the program for 25 years and led the Jackrabbits to that first national championship, was honored before the game. The Jacks led 42-0 by the end of the first half en route to a dominant performance. SDSU will welcome Montana State to Brookings next week on September 9th.
