SDSU Wins 28th Straight, Heads to FCS Championship

(BROOKINGS, SD) — It was a dominating performance across the board for the South Dakota State football team as they punched their ticket to the FCS Championship with their 28th straight victory.

Mark Gronowski threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns while Isaiah Davis added 107 yards and two touchdowns on the ground as the number one seeded Jackrabbits defeated Albany by a final score of 59-0. Jadon Janke had 151 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the winning effort as well while the Jacks defense forced three interceptions and had a fumble return for a touchdown.

South Dakota State now heads back to the FCS Championship in Frisco, TX for a second straight year where they will play the winner of Saturday’s matchup between Montana and North Dakota State.
