Search Underway In Beadle County

(Huron, SD) — Authorities are searching a Beadle County property in connection to the disappearance of a woman over a decade ago. Crews were actively working through an area along the James River just north of Huron on Wednesday. It comes two weeks after the ten-year mark since Rachel Cyriacks, a Woonsocket woman, went missing. The area being searched is within a mile of the bee farm where Cyriacks’ pickup truck was found in December of 2013. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley released a statement, saying, “We are continuing to receive and follow leads on the 10-year anniversary of Rachel’s disappearance and will make announcements on any significant discoveries.”
