(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota is playing an important role around the world. Local leaders discussed ways the state addresses global issues through their impact at a local level as the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition launched its first South Dakota Advisory committee yesterday. South Dakota’s agricultural exports hold a value of over five billion dollars. The leaders at yesterday’s meeting agreed that the key for the state to hold strong as a national and international leader in agricultural exports is to keep engaging farmers. Senator John Thune explained he wants to make it easier for future farmers to enter the business and continue to make a difference on an international level.
