(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Senator John Thune is challenging the IRS with concerns over TikTok. Thune is worried about IRS employees using personal devices with TikTok on them while working on IRS business that contains people’s personal information. Congress did pass legislation over a year ago that essentially banned TikTok from being on any government devices. But Thune recently found out the app is still on many IRS employees’ personal devices, which led him to send a letter to the IRS Commissioner wanting more answers.
