Sioux Falls $1-Billion Capital Plan Focused On Infrastructure

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls’ capital plan has now surpassed one-billion dollars. Mayor Paul TenHaken says it’s mostly focused on infrastructure like highways, streets, and utilities. Over 450-million dollars is marked for highway and street work, from asphalt rehabilitation to major reconstruction of several roads and intersections. TenHaken says roadwork has to continue despite the high cost of asphalt. Another nearly 300-million dollars is going to the water reclamation department.
